Ok, so I haven't posted in quite awhile...there have been several times when I actually had something interesting to write about but never got around to it. I still want to comment on those instances at some point, but I just don't have the mental energy right now to go into it. I have had several pretty big ah ha moments in the the last few months...some sin revealed to me, struggled through issues, etc. I bought a minivan...yes, I who said I would NEVER drive one of those hideous mom mobiles actually bought one...and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. But getting to that point was tough, I am embarrassed to say. I actually cried for about three days straight while test driving one. I had no idea how shallow and prideful I was about it. But like I said, that is for another post on another day.
Anywho, it is Sunday night...and the countdown to baby Bauer's arrival continues. He will be making his appearance on Thursday morning, June 7th. We are all getting excited. Matt and Caed especially. I have been praying fervently that this will be a non event for Landing. I hope it isn't even a blip on his little toddler radar. He is already very jealous of my time and attention and screams at Caed if he tries to hug me or snuggle. I am already taking measures to ensure Bauer's safety and well being. Locks on the bedroom doors, for instance.
On another note, I have been spending 15 minutes a night after the kids go to bed straightening up the house. I set the timer for 15 minutes, and just pick up the house...and stop when the timer goes off. I start the dishwasher, pick up the house, etc. In the morning when I get up I unload the dishwasher while the kids eat breakfast, make the bed, get dressed, and start a load of laundry. This generally only takes about 15 or 20 minutes also. I have been really amazed at how these two 15 minute cleaning sessions have really kept my house relatively clean. So, that is my little tip....well, really flylady's tip. I love flylady, have I mentioned that before?
Ok, so sorry this isn't a very interesting post...honestly, I can't think of anything brilliant to say, so I am going to sign off for now.
Thanks for sticking with me, despite my long absence!
