Ever wondered how many people in the United States share your name? I was surprised to discover that I am the only person in the U.S.A. with my moniker. Likewise, my children are all unique when it comes to their names. Huh. Only the hubby shares his name with anyone else in the U.S., and even then, it is only with 33 other people.

There are 16 people with my name. Once I Googled my name and found some of them. One of them is very active with farmers' markets. Many people, though, mistake my name for one that is much more common. There are 2422 people with that name, which I think would get downright confusing.

(Why else would I be commenting you in the middle of the day?)*smile* There is only one person in the U.S. with my name and since I don't live in the U.S., but in Canada, it's not me! Huh... I wonder who it is...
ReplyDeleteWhoa! I knew mine was going to be bad... 1,212!! A bank that I don't bank with actually just contacted me last week saying I had bounced a check from a checking account that I don't have. She finally admitted that it could be someone else with my same first and last name! Those of us with common names need to be extra careful! I think I need to work on making my signature more unique...
ReplyDeleteWow. I'm really surprised. There were 51 of me! I have a VERY common last name, and a very uncommon first name. ??? I guess I thought no one else would have an Irish first name and Mexican last name. :) Wrong.

ReplyDeleteOnly 4 with my name. Funny thing is I know one of them already. I looked up my name while I was in college and contacted the 1 person I found. I wonder if the others are younger or if they married into it. Fun!

ReplyDeleteBefore I got married, I always thought there was only 1 of me with that particular name. Turned out, though, that I have a second cousin with the exact same name.
As a bonus bit of name trivia, my first name is also Laurel.
