GIFTS FROM THE SEA"The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. To dig for treasures shows not only impatience and greed, but lack of faith. Patience, patience, patience, is what the sea teaches. Patience and faith. One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach - waiting for a gift from the sea."
~ Anne Morrow Lindbergh

This book takes on a whole new dimension when read while on the beach, rows of collected sea shells on the edge of my blanket.

Does this mean that the three hours I spent "looking for treasures" while you were reading "Gifts From the Sea" makes me impatient, greedy, and faithless? Hmmmmm...........I sure found lots of cool stuff! Yo Mama

Oh, by the way...those "rows of collected sea shells on the edge of your blanket" were collected by me and the children while you were pontificating! I'm just saying.....Mama

We just got back from the beach, too. We went to St. Simons. Oh, how I love the beach. Glad to see you had fun!

Also happy to see the B.W.O. badge. I saw that recently elsewhere and thought it was a great idea. My bloggy brain is slowing down.
