Sometimes,
I look at these four little boys of mine,
sitting around the dinner table,
or jumping on the furniture,
or in the shower with shampoo mohawks.
And I realize that, someday,
these little boys will be:
fathers
husbands
employees
neighbors
I am overwhelmed.
By the task,
and by my love for them.
I remind myself (again) to
pray more
and get on Facebook less.
wise woman, you are!
ReplyDeleteAmen to that! No wonder God has us live one appreciated day at a time, right?
ReplyDeleteNow you're a poet; the talent never ends! Very sweet photo. I love those little guys, too. I look at my big men now and wonder where the little boys are...hiding in there somewhere. One of those bittersweet things of life.
ReplyDeleteAmen! ... What a responsibility! So good we don't have to bear that burden alone!
ReplyDeleteahh yes, get on facebook less and pray more. this is my challenge, too.
ReplyDeleteYes. The Lord will print some of those precious moments in your heart and when they are older and ever more precious, you'll still feel all the magic of motherhood, very rich. So sweet.
ReplyDeleteOh what a wonderful reminder that I need!
ReplyDeleteyes indeed....my first baby turns 18 in a couple of weeks and the reality that he will *soon* (relatively) be someone's husband and father has me shaking in my boots! take your time and do it well, you won't regret the time spent.
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious reminder! Thank you...
